Trauma‑focused CBT adapts cognitive behavioural therapy for the effects of traumatic experiences. It helps you understand your reactions, reduce avoidance and process memories so they feel less present and less overwhelming.
The work is carefully paced. We begin with safety and coping skills, and only move to processing memories when you feel ready.
- Session
- 50 minutes
- Fee
- £80
- Typical length

Trauma‑focused CBT can help with
How the work usually unfolds
- 1A free 20‑minute intro call to see whether this fits
- 2We focus first on safety and stabilisation
- 3We make sense of your trauma responses together
- 4We gradually process difficult memories, at your pace
- 5We work on the beliefs trauma has left behind
Will I have to talk about everything that happened?
Not before you are ready, and not in more detail than is helpful. Stabilisation comes first.
What if it feels overwhelming?
We slow down or pause. You stay in control of the pace throughout.
Do you work with complex or childhood trauma?
I work with a range of trauma. If longer‑term or specialist support would serve you better, I’ll say so honestly in the intro call.
