Addiction Therapy in London
Addiction can take many forms. Some people struggle with alcohol or substances, while others find themselves caught in patterns around behaviours such as gambling, technology use, pornography or other compulsive habits.
Therapy can offer a space to explore these patterns and begin to understand what may lie behind them.
I offer addiction therapy in London, both in person and online.
Understanding addiction
Addictive behaviours often develop as ways of coping with difficult feelings or experiences.
While they may offer temporary relief, over time they can begin to create new difficulties in areas such as relationships, work, and wellbeing.
People sometimes seek therapy when they notice:
loss of control around alcohol or substances
repeated attempts to cut down that haven’t worked
feelings of shame or secrecy
conflict with partners or family
reliance on certain behaviours to manage emotions
How therapy can help
Addiction therapy focuses on understanding the underlying patterns that sustain addictive behaviours.
In therapy we might explore:
emotional triggers for addictive behaviours
patterns that develop over time
ways of managing difficult feelings differently
the role of relationships and life experiences
My aim is to offer a non-judgemental space where these issues can be explored openly.

I hold a Masters degree in Addiction Psychology and Counselling, have worked in addiction services in a variety of settings and am currently the clinical manager of a residential addiction treatment service.
